• BBy 2030 the population 65 and older will increase 78% to 10,381 people. This group will make up 19% of the county’s population.
• Compared to the state, older adults are less educated, 80% live in rural areas, 94% are white, and 31% have two or more disabilities.
• The median income is lower than the state average, and there are more older adults at or below the poverty level.
• There are more hospitalizations due to respiratory diseases and slightly more falls.
