BriefDescription: Matter of Balance is an evidence-based behavioural change program designed to develop practical coping strategies to reduce the fear of falling. The class is taught by two lay leaders and is conducted over 8 sessions, meeting weekly or twice weeky for two hours. The goal is to reduce fear of falling, stop the fear of falling cycle, and increase activity levels among community-dwelling older adults
AdditionalInformation: A Matter of Balance is currently being disseminated throughout the state. A list of master trainers is attached to this page. You can contact a master trainer to organize a training session for lay leaders. More descriptions about this program are attached.
